I witnessed a conversation today at the gym and it sort of irked me, so I figured I’d write about it to share my opinions. The conversation was going on between two other women and they were talking about the free trial dietary supplements provided on the web. One lady, Mary, had just got her complimentary bottle of a colon cleanse supplement sent to her place and was excited about it and was talking about it with another girl Stephanie. Stephanie instantly began telling Mary that she had been exploited, and how the overall free trial thing on line is a cheat and how nothing in life is free, how her Visa card was going to be billed over and over and there is nothing she will be able to do about it. Yada, yada yada. Mary went from extremely excited to very sad but she really need not feel that way. I’ll tell you why.
I myself get free products from the net all of the time. I’ve received trials of acai berry products, red wine resveratrol products, colon cleansing products, acai with green tea extract, you name it, I probably used it or still use it. Was I taken advantage of? Not even close. So, what’s all the discussion about being tricked and how the products are not actually free, or whether they actually even work?
I will try to respond to these questions one at a time. Are the products free? Not entirely, but for the most part, yeah. You see, you get a trial bottle of the supplement, whether it be a fourteen day trial, thirty day trial, whichever. However, you have got to pay for the freight. Generally less than 10 bucks. That’s where the primary cost comes in. So why do they charge shipping and offer the supplement free? Well, a lot of folks won’t try something if they are not sure if it works, but if they don’t have much to lose, they might give it a try. The manufacturers know this, which explains why they offer you the 1st bottle at no charge. They ask for a card number to pay for shipping because they are confident about their products and they want you to stay as a customer, so the fine print is that they will charge your credit card again after 30 days and send you an additional bottle. If you don’t want to get charged because the product failed to work for you, and it may not work because everybody is different, than just phone the toll free phone number to cancel it. Plain and simple. And you won’t be billed again. I have done this time and again without trouble and I pay close attention to my Mastercard statement and have seen no monkey business going on.
You see, providing something for no cost up front, asking for a credit card to pay the freight, and rebilling monthly is a great business design. It works, that is the reason why these businesses do it. They know what works and they need to earn cash. I don’t believe that any of them are looking to sting anyone or they would not be in business long. Most of the clients enjoy the product and get results so these companies know they’ll recoup the expenses of offering something free. And I am certain they receive a decent profit markup so it wouldn’t take them long.
Now, using famous celebs to help with promotion is a bit underhanded I admit, but that’s been going on for a while. Watch any commercial and see if you are unable to spot a celebrity. And do you think they use the product being publicized. I doubt it. They just get paid well as a spokesperson. Those sorts of promotions online are being tightened up on so you probably won’t see much of that anymore anyway.
As for the safety of the products, I myself only get superfoods or products that are made naturally. I don’t hunt down weightloss products with chemicals and other junk. I am getting products that promote healing, not ones that make me sicker. In the case of acai, I will be getting extraordinarily powerful antioxidants to keep the free radicals in check. For colon cleanse products, I will be getting assistance ridding my body of waste and dropping pounds in the process.
That’s it for now. I hope I cleared up any confusion and that you’re feeling safer about any free trial product offers that are offered on the net.
I’m a proud user of free trial natural dietary supplements online. The thing is, I do not desire to spend money on something that does nothing for my body type, so I am happy I am offered an inexpensive testing price (the shipping). Although I can not vouch for all free trial offers on line, here are a couple I’ve had success with: Puritan Pride Acai Berry, Resveratrol Reviews and Colon Cleanse Elite Review.
