
What good is a muscular body if you can’t see it under layers of fat?
Take a look around next time you go to the mall or out to work. Look at the physiques of the people you work with, the people next to you at the supermarket, the people at the newsagent and the local take away. What is the standard these days? Do people look fit and strong? Well, unless you live in a community where hard physical exercise is the standard then you’ll see fat people.
So how do you get over this tendency of our bodies to put on this extra weight? Well, it’s because we’ve got it so good that we no longer need to exercise so much! That’s kinda cool, but it’s not helping our health or appearance. So How do we do it without supplements and surgery?
Building Muscle Tips #4 How To Strip That Fat and Reveal Your Lean Toned Muscles
Here’s the trick:
Strip The Fat Step 1. LIft Weights Don’t worry, you wont become muscle bound overnight. It takes years of bodybuilding to get big like those guys. The cool thing is though, that muscles burn energy faster than any other cells in your body. So lift weights, and your body will burn more fat. Simple. Workout every couple of days and you’ll notice the difference.
Strip That Fat Step 2. Aerobic exercise is a waste of time. Yep, you heard me if you want to burn fat fast, DON’T do it. You’ve got to be crazy right? Everyone says it’s the best way so it must be true. Nope. Well, it does work, but it’s not the best way. And it’s hard work! If there’s an easier way, wouldn’t that be best? (haha, I’m such a lazy coach!)
What do you do instead? Well, you know how muscle burns more energy than fat right? Well, you can also put your body into a fat burning mode by doing Short and intense cardio exercises. This is similar to say going for a jog, or riding a bike for an hour, except you take all that effort, and put it into 15 minutes! This is commonly called interval training or High Intensity Training.
Here’s the training cycle:
High Intensity Interval Training, or Fartlek, is a training session divided into 2 parts. One intense, and the other less intense.
Here’s an example of a HIIT training session:

# 5 min warmup
# 1 min walk/jog
# 20 second sprint
# 1 min walk/jog
# 20 second sprint
# 1 min walk/jog
# 20 second sprint
# 1 min walk/jog
# 20 second sprint
# 1 min walk/jog
# 20 second sprint
# 1 min walk/jog
# 20 second sprint
# 1 min walk/jog
# 20 second sprint
# 1 min walk/jog
# 20 second sprint
# 5 min cooldown
# Stretches
The great thing about this kind of workout is that you’ll speed up your body so much that you’ll be burning excess energy for ages! And it takes only 15 minutes! It’s honestly the BEST way to strip that fat from your body quickly. Bodybuilders have known this for ages.
If you’re already working out 3 days a week, do this interval training only on your OFF days so you don’t over train. This is because your body just does not know how to burn fat and build muscle all at once. Swap between the weight training and interval training so you can get the best of both worlds. And make sure you take a day off too. We don’t want you to burn out!

Building Muscle Tips - Step 3. Eat Fresh High Water Content Food.
You know you won’t get a great body eating KFC so don’t kid yourself. Take that thought in your mind now, and throw it away. The best food source for making your body run smoothly is fresh fruits and vegetables. Preferably raw!
Yeah, I know, what a drag. Your mama always told you to eat your vegies. Turns out she was right eh. Well, I won’t tell her if you don’t!
Honestly though, eat your vegetables, and eat them raw if possible. Keep your protein foods high so your body can repair and recover. Snack on RAW nuts and seeds (not the salted ones!) and protein shakes / bars. Get your carbohydrates mostly from fresh fruits and vegetables. Get to know your local market and your body will thank you for it.
