Does your weight make you feel like you’re behind bars?
Paul said: “What I want to do I do not do, but what I do not want to do this I keep on doing.”
In other words, rules are made to be broken - all rules. And humanity is here to test and break those rules and to find ultimate freedom. That doesn’t mean that we are here to be rebellious and purposely create havoc and tick people off, on the contrary. Eating for 3, literally, and expecting our body to say “thank you” and for us to feel free hardly is called freedom. So let’s be realistic and not fool ourselves. Because we are also told that “The greatest one of these is love. Love never fails.”
So if love never fails, what does that tell us about the 90% of diets that continually fail? Yes, you guessed right: not much love there
So what if we approached our bodies and our overall health with an amazing love that is tender, instead of submitting to someone else’s diet - especially knowing that our deep rooted goal is to break free from rules, especially other people’s rules.
Here are 3 ways you can immediately put to practice in order to show your body more love:
1. Nutritional labels are not as truthful as we think, in fact they are quite misleading. A better way is to start reading the contents of the food, the ingredients. The fewer items on the ingredients list, the better. If your head understands what’s in your food, then your body knows what to do with it.
2. Stay away from foods that say “fat free,” or “light.” Look at a bag of candies, often they now say “fat free” and that may be true. However, the content of these bags are pure chemicals mixed with some corn byproduct, which your body has absolutely no idea what to do with it. So it turns it into pure body fat. Just because you give your body a fat free product doesn’t mean that your body won’t convert it into fat. Remember that your body is a pure chemical laboratory and it can create anything it needs or has to in order to protect itself from harm. Your body’s one purpose is for it to stay healthy for as long as you allow it, so it can carry you through life in order for you to carry out your life’s purpose. All we have to do is learn to get out of its way, to stop playing God and to listen to what our bodies tell us.
3. Nothing can hurt our bodies as much as artificial foods. Just because it says “fat free” doesn’t mean that your body won’t immediately turn its contents into fat. Instead learn to listen to your body and give it what it wants. Rather than buying artificial sweeteners, a better option is to give it organic sweeteners, such as cactus nectar. Stevia is another alternative and is ideal for diabetics. Your vehicle knows exactly what you give it and it is perfectly capable of transforming natural foods into pure fuel. Fake foods is not digestible for your body and instead it lashes out by creating disease.
